Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star

You fill my world with sparkle and light. My dark skies you speckle with stars that twinkle into the night.

If only I could capture those stars so that they could be with me always, even when the sun rises into a new day.

I wish to hold that jar full of stars in my hand and let their light fill my eyes. No matter the time of day, my heart longs to bask in their rays.

Even if you are light years away, those stars remain by my bedside, illuminating my room and keeping the monsters that lurk in the shadows at bay.

My guardian that protects the gaits to my innermost being. You shield me, day in and day out. In your love for me I have no doubt.

As I lay my head to rest, thoughts of you pulsate in my chest.

Twinkle, twinkle little star, thank God I know who you are.

  1. This was such a beautiful piece! The idea of capturing the stars and keeping them with you all the time is something everyone can relate to–finding something beautiful and capturing it to bring us joy and light at all times, even when we couldn’t otherwise have that light, can be an overwhelming desire sometimes. I love the idea of putting that light in a little bottle and putting it next to your bed, to bask in and enjoy even when you sleep.

I’ve certainly found my light, and it’s such a euphoric, blissful feeling that I hope everyone can experience one day! ❤

This was such a neat little piece and so beautifully conveyed! Amazing job, as always!
